Hermitage of the Awakened Heart
The Hermitage is a place of retreat and contemplation under the direction of Lama Shenpen Hookham.
It is also the home of the first fully consecrated
Tibetan Stupa in Wales. You are welcome to visit or to come on retreat. For more information, please contact us. If you would like to be informed of events, retreats and open days, please join our mailing list and we will send you regular emails.

10am till 4pm
Everyone is welcome to attend a day of meditation at the Hermitage. The day will be held in silence until 4pm when there will be the chance for a cup of tea and a chat. There will be meditation in the morning with guidance offered for those who would like it. Beginners and experienced meditators alike are most welcome.
There may also be the opportunity to arrange a talk with Lama Shenpen, Tara or Dashu at some point during the day.
A simple vegetarian lunch will be provided.
Lama Shenpen will give a teaching in the afternoon at 2.30pm.
You are welcome to attend for some or all of the day.
Suggested donation for the whole day £25 - 40.

Katie and Tara are running two Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction courses locally this year which are suitable to all. Mindfulness is the art of being fully present and exploring our experience with gentle curiosity. Training in this can ease stress, improve health and open the door to greater well-being.
